I had a visitation booked with him early in the day, which was odd, because I had told him I have work and would rather come in the evening, but he said he couldn't because of his schedule. Then he asked me to e-transfer him his visitation fee ahead of time, so it's less work when we meet up, to which I obliged. 

Then on the day of, I just get a message from him saying his brother has a medical emergency and he has to cancel our session, and did not respond back to any of my messages ever since. And has not refunded me the visitation fee which I had paid him. 

What a f***ing crook!!!! How is this prick even licensed to practice here in Canada. Canadians aren't such twisted thieves like you Kasra Koochesfahani!!!!! 

Been trying many doctor since 2005, none of them were able to diagnose and treat the issue as he did , I have wrongly diagnosed by my previous doctor,  he even explained whatever happened to me and provided me  books and also references for medicines he got , he was always on time and stayed in touch with even outside of office . 

Hey Dr.K , I know you're reading this and clearly have no shame in leaving fake reviews and refusing to learn from your mistakes and short comings as a person. It's ok, you're leaving your patients with no choice to follow up on your unethical practices with something more tangible. You're too dangerous, delusional and narcissistic to continue your job, but instead you're the one who needs some deep therapy and help.

I saw Dr. K for three years (in person at first, online after COVID hit)  while I was at UBC and found my sessions with him to be very helpful. My initial concern about seeing a psychiatrist was that they would try to get me on medication. Now, I know some people need this and I may need this myself at some stage but I was terrified that I wouldn’t get a chance to talk through what was dragging me down before pills were mentioned. This was not an issue with Dr. K. I was a total mess when I started seeing him and our sessions were quite scattered as I was crying a lot at first and trying to explain how I had gotten to that state. Eventually, I was able to become more coherent and Dr. K paid attention as I started to tell my story. He was kind and supportive throughout.

I count myself very lucky to have had the time I needed to talk through my issues and to have Dr. K along to help me through this. I see other reviews here shitting on him and I get that too. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but, as with restaurant reviews, some people will love a place and return regularly while others will have one bad experience and trash the place online. In any case, my experience was extremely positive and I highly recommend Dr. K to whoever is reading this.

Okay I had a few sessions with him and found it kind of off putting so I never went back.

I was referred by my FP he never pick up the phone and answers the voice message

hey Dr.K, as you keep calling yourself, stop leaving fake reviews on here !! have you not got an ounce of shame? This kind of fraudulent behaviour is going to catch up to you sooner or later ...

My time with Dr. K really helped me in unimaginable ways that I observe more deeply now that he has left to Ontario.

I honestly don't know how this guy is in Toronto's top 10 psychiatrists in Ratemd. He is the worst Psychiatrist I have ever seen. If you want your stress and anxiety to get 10 times worse, visit Dr. Koochesfahani. The most inconsiderate and unknowledgeable dr. Not only did my anxiety get worse after seeing this doctor, but he also made fun of me, saying, "I'm complaining a lot about my stress & anxiety"... I feel sorry for anyone who goes to this guy.

The general impression that I had from this doctor was one of subdued arrogance and dismissal. If there was any traumatic even which had happened to you and you wanted to discuss, he would then oddly make you question yourself instead of what was done to you. He would also just casually cast aside any realization or insight that you may have come to about your self or life in general to help you make sense of events and heal, which would then add to your confusion. 

He's also very adamant and quick to force you to take a bunch of pills, even though the reason why you may be there has nothing to do with any medication. 

He was also very forceful about me attending group therapy sessions and discuss my personal life with other people, even though I definitely didn't want to be in a group environment and was just there work through  my own problems first. 

I should also add that, on another rating website (rateMDs.com), he is leaving himself a bunch of fake reviews after every negative review he receives, and it also seems like there's a paid plan on that website for doctors to remove some negative reviews which he is using, because on multiple occasions my reviews have been removed and hidden from record. 

Just in general, this guy has some super shady practices and seems like a dubious and fraudulent character. 

Having been paired with another therapist now, I can definitely say that my visitations with him definitely did more harm than any good.

I had the misfortune of having been paired with him during university as my therapist. I can go into great detail, but he genuinely inflicted more damage and harm than I was already dealing with, made me doubt the very experiences that had an immense impact on my well being and steered me towards some harmful people in my life. He should truly be taken to court for malpractice for what he's done. I have no idea what kind of institution would grant someone as combative and callous as him a license to practice.  

Dr K is a genuinely kind, giving, curious, inquisitive, and open-minded attitude which are really the most important characteristics 

Quite combative their attitude with their patient, specially given the heavy circumstances they be facing. Also quite dismissive of their experiences and very eager to impose his own views on them. He also shows negative attitudes towards their patient having a sort of agency, which is the exact reason someone may seek therapy. Really harm visitations overall.
