She was my family doctor, but I was rarely able to get in to see her. I was trying to understand what was going on with my health — we completed the initial step of ordering blood tests, and the results were mostly normal, as a nurse informed me. However, I was never able to speak with the doctor directly. She didn’t return my calls, and I couldn’t book an appointment with her for six months. Eventually, she changed clinics, and I signed the necessary release forms so that I could find a new family doctor who I could rely on. Unfortunately, she never processed my release, and as a result, the system still lists her as my family doctor. This has made it extremely difficult for me to get medical care — I have to go through extra steps just to book appointments, and I’m unable to register with a new doctor because of the system’s error. I’ve also tried contacting her new clinic but have been unable to reach her or get any assistance.

Excellent doctor. Helps, sends to specialists when needed, knowledgable and professional.

Dr. Elgendy has been in my corner for me when specialists have not. If there is an issue that one specialist cannot solve, she sends me onto the next. I have been complicated and suffered medical gaslighting from others but NEVER from her. She is competent, kind, and caring. But she is also direct - the first thing she said to me last time was “Oh, you’ve gained some weight!” But if this was something I needed help with, she would have helped me there, too. She trusts that I know my body, trusts my competence in my own field (which comes up sometimes), and makes sure I feel safe and heard. 

Absolutely the worst doctor/patient meeting of my 50 year life. Rude, unsympathetic, abrasive and arrogant. When I mentioned that I was having a hard time with grief as my mother had died six months earlier I was shamed and told that I should not be crying anymore and should take anti-depressants.

There are a couple of reviews that say they felt rushed but it's just the manner in which the doctor speaks. Her cadence is fast, but I never felt rushed by this. If anything, she was very attentive to my needs. She seems to care when I describe my problem, which more than I can say for my last family doctor.

Rushed conversation, won’t listen to you and cuts you off. When asked questions I don’t know is the main answer 

The best doctor ever, addressed my concerns, discussed the care plan and follow up very well.
