It is very concerning that so many patients have had the same experience with this clout Fiona woman. Like I said she’s in a wrong profession just like everyone else has mentioned she condescending attitude towards patients and many other issues many other people had shared on different platforms. Dr Fiona needs to be undergo people service skills training.

Dr Pinto provided exceptional care. Her expertise, kindness, and calm approach turned a stressful situation into one where I felt truly cared for. She took the time to explain everything clearly and ensured I was comfortable every step of the way. I couldn’t have asked for better care!

Subsequent treatment was excellent and the 9th floor staff were sterling, efficient and compassionate.

Thanks to Dr Cherry and 9th floor staff , I am safe at home, 7 new prescriptions on my roster, staring down the barrel of a long, frightening recovery.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Pinto that I just had to share. Right from the start, she was warm and compassionate, and her empathy really stood out. She took the time to listen to my concerns, explain everything, and made sure I felt comfortable the whole time.

Honestly, my visit to the ED was way better than I expected. The mix of professional expertise and genuine care made it a really positive experience. I’m super grateful to the entire team for their dedication and kindness.

My recent ED visit was smooth, especially because of the care of Dr Pinto. Even though it was chaotic, She assessed us quickly, updated us routinely and made sure that we got the timely care that we needed. Thank you for your care!

Terrible bedside manner.  Didn't explain anything.  Felt rushed and didn't help with much.  Seemed not to care and was very dismissive overall.  

I'd like to thank Dr Pinto for all her hard work. She was great. Very thoughtful, thorough and kind. Can't say enough of good things about my encounter with her. Made my stay at the ED a positive one. 

I visited the ED with my mom as she had severe abdominal pain. Dr. Pinto was great with her treatment and took a lot of time to explain what was going on and what to do to avoid this situation from happening in the future. Truly appreciated her effort.

Dr. Pinto was great. I visited the hospital a few days ago and I genuinely appreciated the time she took to patiently listen to my issues and concerns before providing me with the care I needed.

Went to the hospital and she was at the attending physician. Dr. Pinto was very kind and professional. She listened to all my concerns and provided me with a detailed explanation of what was the issue and what I needed to do in the weeks ahead. Dr.Rovina Fiona Pinto is very impatient. I was there and other make doctor was in the save exact department, he was going through blood work, x-ray, MRI etc results step by step and thoroughly with his patient. I sat there listening to him explaining his concerns about there finding. Where Dr. Pinto just call me and gave send me home with minimal explanation. This is very poor and careless service by Dr. Pinto.  

Went in ED- Scarborough Health Network-General site. She was the attending physician. I was suprise how rude and unprofessional she is. I don't recommend this doctor. If you dont want to ruined your day and you're not well then ask for a different doctor to look after you. 

Currently at Scarborough Gen and I am astonished by the interaction like many had with Dr. Pinto at the ED. She has a BIG attitude which is inappropriate for the field she is in. I feel like she was forced into this profession by her parents and just wanted to impress them because the lack of empathy, lack of communication skills, the lack of knowledge, the lack of people skills is beyond.. I’ve never met a Doctor so rude and dismissive. She needs to sit herself down and ask herself if this is the profession for her.. because her patients think otherwise. Ain’t for you sis 

Very unprofessional and uncaring. Since she works in a profession where caring and tenderness is very important, she extremely lacks that. People go to ER department when they need help. And people needs to be cared. She doesn't know how to treat and talk to people politely. Very unsatisfied. Hope we will never see her on the ER

No social skills. She treats patients and her colleagues very poorly. I have seen nursing staff's responses as she walks away when she barks orders at them. Extremely unprofessional and think she's almighty. I would not want my worst enemy to have to be treated by her. Yikes.

Such a kind soul. I was in the ED overnight and even though it was packed and chaotic Dr Pinto was so thoughtful and caring. She was patient, and considerate and thoroughly helped me with my issue and explained everything to me. I watched her interact with her colleagues and nurses and saw their level of comraderie despite being so busy. She has a tough job, but does it well. I would recommend her to anyone.

Looking at these reviews, I am alarmed at the number of similarities experienced by other patients. I am a healthcare worker who was present for an ill family member. Such a shockingly cold patient encounter with this physician. I couldn't comprehend the level of apathy expressed by Rovina Pinto. In a field that encounters patients at their most vulnerable, how could you act this way? Even on the worst possible day of my life (which was actually the day I had the misfortune of encountering Rovina Pinto), I couldn't imagine myself treating my own patients the way she seems to carry herself on a regular basis. In expressing this concern to the allied health in the ED, they all shared the same negative perspective of this person. If you're burnt out, get help. Take a sabbatical. Because what you're doing is a terrible job in helping patients and their family members.

Dr.Pinto is the most unprofessional, cold, callous woman to ever be a physician. Quite honestly, she appears to be on some form of substance given her flat affect, unprofessional demeaner and very obvious confusion.  There is no warmth, nor care in what she provides and her eyes are cold, dead, and mean. I have witnessed her mistreat so many patients, and speak to them like they are dirt on the side of the road. It is well known in the emergency departments of SHN that she is one of the least liked physicians, given the way she treats staff, conducts herself professionally and treats patients. Truly disgusting and proof that not everyone should go into medicine. Terrible bed side manner. I would not want even my worst enemy to experience her care. 

My experience at the ED was great because of Dr Pinto. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was well taken care of.  Thanks for everything

I visited the ED with my dad. He was quite uncomfortable and a lot of abdominal pain. Dr Pinto treated him quickly, got his pain under control. She took time to explain what was wrong with him and made us feel confident he was getting the best care.

Dr. Pinto is incredible. She was very kind when we were in the ED. She went  out of her way, despite being such a busy day in the ED to ensure that all my concerns were addressed. It's quite rare to find an emergency doctor that can interact with empathy and professionalism while providing outstanding medical attention and care. I highly recommend Dr. Pinto.

Her license should be taken away. My mom came in to the ER for chest pains and for whatever reason she prescribed my mom acid reflex meds for 30 days? We didn't realize what it was until we went to a second hospital for a second opinion because my mom was still having chest pain. First of all, why would you prescribe something that doesn't help at all? That is negligence.

I had to find Dr. Pinto’s profile. She was my emergency doctor at Scarborough Health Network tonight and the entire interaction shocked me. 

The nurses, despite being overworked were so warm and open. 

Dr. Pinto called my name and upon seeing me, a fellow brown woman but in my 30s, she couldn’t even look at me. She turned her head to the opposite side of the room and without looking at me said, “you can go in there” about a room down a hallway to her right. I had to ask her: “are you speaking to me?”. I wasnt even sure which direction she meant. She was so cold and seemed to carry some pre-judgement towards me. 

I came in on a Friday evening because i was told to confirm I didnt have a mild concussion. I did not want to go in but multiple people advised me to. She basically had me there to ask me why i came in and scoffed that I didn’t take advil or Tylenol. I came to the hospital because i dont know the procedure when it comes to brain health. She was condescending, explaining that when I am in pain- I should take pain meds. This was my breaking point and I couldn’t even respond to her anymore. 

I walked away but then started crying over the horrible interaction. I went back to speak to her about it, and she listened which  I appreciated. She apologized for how i took it but i told her, it wasnt about how i took it, it was about how she was communicating. I approach everyone with an open mind and friendliness. She was critical of me on first appearances. She softened up at the end but I was so stunned by the hostility. I rarely cry but this I didn’t expect, and it doesn’t help that my head isn’t 100%. She has potential to be a good doctor but from other reviews on doctr.ca and my own experience, she lacks a positive mindset that would help patients in their healing journey. 

She was absolutely terrible and should immediately have her licence suspended. She asked me if I was sexually active due to my voice (I am LGBT). Her intolerance and rude nature will not be forgotten. Other ER doctors have behaved similarly and should be ejected from the College immediately for their arrogance. Our society should not fund these experts who harass and belittle patients in any capacity. Feel free to contact me Ms. Pinto to take this up personally or through regulatory process. I certainly may just have to do that one day with you how treated me. I will remember you forever and you will remember me. Other MDs and their trashy attitudes I have experience with, and I will remember each one until I ensure they are disciplined for their malpractice.

She is totally not a good doctor

This Person is in the wrong field. She takes no time to properly assess patients, and rushes them off. She was sending my wife home with food poisoning while my wife was barely responsive and or awake. After complaining we had another Dr come take a look and he discovered it was a stroke and thankfully able to treat her. She is unprofessional arrogant and a horrendous medical professional.  She is too busy looking at her phone then helping patients. 

Our family is extremely grateful to Dr. Fiona Pinto.
She treated my husband at the Emergency department and more importantly called us to find out if the medicine was working or not. My husband is now on the road to recovery. We are so grateful that she called us in spite of being so busy.

She assaulted my grandma, rushing her by pressing her hand roughly when her back was fractured. She ignored me when I told her my grandma needed to sit slowly as she was in a lot of pain. She kept telling me I was wasting her time bringing my grandma in. She is so unprofessional and should not practice. A hospital is not a butcher shop. She is a horrible human being and doctor when I told her we needed help with ride back, she laughed in my face.

She seems to be in the wrong profession. Not very friendly, very curt and probably sees the patient as a machine that does not wort her time. She provided her diagnosis to me in three letters by saying, You Have ? With no explanation- just a phone number of a specialist. I couldn't talk to her...
