Seen in ED at University hospital for a pretty serious injury. All I have to say is this doctor lacks basic assessment skills and is absolutely rude and arrogant. I assume he is a resident, becuae in my almost 20 years in healthcare i have never seen a physician like this.
Doctor Kangrui Lin of SJHC St. Joseph Hospital Urgent Care need to learn to communicate with patient and put his pride aside when talking to patient. If patient is knowledgeable he get nervous and would no just remain and smile and just to listen even is patient is wrong. This show his lack of compassion for the patient. When he is told he is wrong simply dismiss it and said I am not the specialist and when get press further simply get angry and walk away. I mean, half of being a good doctor is being a good listener and should not be insecure about patient have more knowledge then he does. In the internet age, patient is more and more knowledgable. Information is easily gathered. Doctor need to realize this and should not have their pride get in the way of help the patient. Here the doctor's manner and communication skill need to improve. The other part of experience at urgent care was good.
This doctor chose to belittle me and take advantage of my lack of mental clarity as a result of a long term fever. He was rude, unprofessional, and when confronted for remarks he made he claimed I was lying or misinterpreting what he said. He refused me medical care based on claiming I had not yet been sick long enough despite a high fever for a full week along with other symptoms. When I demanded clear answers he told me he could do nothing to help me and discharged me. When i asked for his information to report his behaviour he told me he had already included it saying “I thought you’d want that” with a smile on his face. This took place at St. Joseph’s urgent care and has been my only negative experience in that hospital. His bedside manner is deplorable and he lacks respect for those he’s treating.
