The assessment I did with Dr, King was one of the worst experiences of my life. She blatantly lied about what I said and what symptoms I endorsed at least five times in her report and her negative characterization of me and my motivations has followed me through all of my attempts to get physical and mental healthcare for the past seven years, making it incredibly difficult to get any care. I think it is likely she was trying to funnel me into the DBT program she headed at the time and she had no intention of actually helping me, certainly none of understanding what was actually going on with me. I find it very concerning that she specializes in borderline personality disorder but she attempts to force this label onto people even when it does not fit, and she appears to strongly dislike people with this diagnosis. A truly horrible doctor and I hope someday she faces consequences for all the harm she has done to vulnerable people who are just trying to get help. I left my last appointment with her truly determined to never seek help again.
