Quebec Occupancy Analysis for the Summer

As you can see below, occupancy rates have gone down in the past until August. Then it starts picking back up again in September. So don’t worry if you need to head to the ER under the summer sun. Chances are, you won’t wait too long.

Drinking water is important

1. Drink Water

Hydrate, hydrate and hydrate. Did you know that we need to drink at least 2 liters of water a day? Health professionals remind that even if you don’t feel thirsty you should have water around..

2. Stay Away from Mosquitos

It’s mosquito season! Try to always use insect repellant, and wear long sleeves when going outside when it’s dark. Keep your screen closed when opening your window. Mosquito bites can be nasty.

3. Be Careful of the Sun

Everyone loves the sun, but too much isn’t good for you. Try to limit your direct sun exposure between 10 am and 4 pm as the UV exposure hits its peak. Apply sunscreen before going outside.

4. Drink Moderately

The sun’s out, and everyone wants to go out to a patio or a terrace and have a drink. But be careful. Risks of dehydration are higher when drinking alcohol in hot weather and mostly under direct sun.
