Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants

Best hospital experience I’ve ever had! I had to bring my daughter in and ALL the staff was super pleasant and she was seen quickly for her issue. ER super clean as well, chairs are comfortable! A bit too bright in there but aside that was fantastic experience!

We arrived at the ER, they looked at my 1 yo and he was never evaluated properly. Never took his oxygen level, heart rate or any vitals. He had a high fever and vomited twice, we waited over an hour for “re” assessment and medication but after seeing how the staff don’t care and just don’t want to evaluate the children (the pretriage male nurse couldn’t give a cr*p if my boy had difficulty breathing). We waited another 20 min to see a nurse who never called us so we left cuz our child’s state was deteriorating. I’m a nurse and this hospital is putting patients in danger. 

Épouvantable ! Pus jamais ! Laisse pleurer les enfants souffrant de douleurs !

Je suis impressionné par le service, mon fils a eu une circoncision en chirurgie d’un jour et il a malheureusement eu quelques complications, j’ai dû me rendre à votre urgence pendant la nuit et tout suite prise en charge, beaucoup d’explications et de rassurances. Service

Wonderful hospital and most doctors and nurses there are amazing and kind. However The triage nurses are all so rude and always make you feel like they are doing you and your child a favour when they’re in fact just doing their JOB! 

They dont update anything about the wait time and all the people after us are seen and we are waiting since 2 hrs without even passing the tirage .

Le triage est très mal organisé nous avons attendu 2h avant d'être vu par une infirmière.Pendant ce temps, mon bébé faisait de la fièvre et on refusait de lui donner quoique ce soit tant que je n'étais pas passé au triage. J'ai attendu 7h pour me faire dire que mon bébé n'avait rien (on ne lui a fait aucun examen). On a refusé de lui faire l'hygiène nasale par "manque de temps". Bref, très mauvaise expérience!

Toujours un excellent service, j’y allais pour des status migraineux et je suis toujours passer en priorité sans beaucoup d’attentes pour la majorité des fois! Excellente équipe, tant au triage qu’à la zone jaune!

J'étais là ce soir avec ma fille a partir de 7pm et il y avait 8heures d'attente pour une priorité 4 ou plus

Amazing doctors. Wait time is by times insane. But, i trust the staff fully. They are doing all that they can. Be patient people.

Tres mauvaise experience, le docteur ma donner une fausse alerte de pneumonie avec la radiologie de mon fils et en plus de ca elle ma donné un antibio de la famille de peniciline alors que jai dit 20 fois il est allergique a la peniciline. Resultat : il a fait une reaction allergique et le lendemain je reviens aux urgences pour re evaluation et on me confirme que la radiologue confirme quil na pas de pneumonie . Il avais juste une grippe virale et fievre. Cest grave comment les medecins sont pas reellement serieux .

These doctors are absolutely incredible. I have a daughter with chronic issues and they have always afforded us stellar service. Having been in the acute care unit may times, I urge parents to be grateful for the longer wait times. There's a reason for it and having been there, the few extra hours will give you bonding time with your child.

was in and out for a bone fracture for my daughter in 3 hours from start to finish im super impressed considering she had to do triage see the doctor get xrays and wait to see the doctor again i was very impressed staff was very nice

Great staff

Went to the children today spent 7hours there with my teen. I have a pediatrician however info santé suggested the emergency. Was seeing withing minutes of walking in. Triage, registration, evaluation, X-ray and blood test, all done in about 1 hour. The rest of the time was in the observation room with excellent care from the day staff! Doctor and nurses on staff were polite and well knowledge.

Wait times are ridiculous, although staff is amazing and polite. Waited for around 3-4 hours for a x-ray "review" with a possible ankle fracture yes, almost 3 or 4 hourse to get called in to the doctors for a x-ray examination

Presented with my 1yro as she has issues breathing and just recovered from a urinary tract infection which was diagnosed here and took 9.5 hours. Today its been 8 hours and we saw a nurse for 5 minutes and are waiting to see a doctor. Severely understaffed and wait times are ridiculous.

They were so great! My 2.5 LO had a hard time breathing, they took her in right away. It took 5 hours from the time we walked in, had chest xrays, diagnoses and administered her medication. I would say that is pretty considering. Staff were amazing and the place was so clean and upbeat. I highly recommend this hospital for your little ones. You just need to have some patience for the wait time. We need to understand how hard they work.

Super hopital pour les enfants ! En 3h nous avions vu un medecin, passé une radiographie et recu un diagnostique.

Ma fille de deux ans avait des vomissements et diarhées depuis plus de 20 jours et elle ne mangeait pas. Le children’s me dit que c’est une longue gastro et que son taux de globules blanc est elevee sans autres explications. Ils me disent de remettre les resultats à son pediatre et dans 3 semaines qu’ils auront resultats des tests de selles. 3 jours passent et tjrs les symptomes. Je vais à sainte justine et il l’a passe tout de suite. Tres deshydratee! Elle est toujours hospitalisee et va passer tout les tests necessaires ici à sainte-justine ou la prise en charge et le personnels est formidable.

3 janvier en soirée nous avons été dans un hôpital de montérégie 12 à 18 heure d’attente.(pour une sinusite) Je me suis rendu au children et en moins d’une heure nous avions vue le médecin, passé le rayon x et avions notre prescription en main.

J’ai attendu plus de 9 heures avec une petite fille de trois ans avec une fracture au genou !! C’etait la troisième chance que je lui donnais à cet hôpital et la dernère ! Chaque fois j’ai eu un mauvais service.

Checked before going: 83% full. Waited 4 hours for a non urgent problem (all walk in clinics were full during the Holidays). Was told by MD it was a virus: turned out to be Roseola. Overall very satisfied with the wait time and visit.

We went in for a laringitis for my 4y/o, everything is well organized, the staff was helpful, we had to wait a while because some smaller kods came in and they work in order or the gravity of the illness, but our turn came and we spent in total (including registration, triage, etc) about 3 hours, but also my son's fever started to go up and while we waited for a doctor, he was given medication. I am at this visit, very pleased with the hospital and its staff.

8h pour expliquer enfin ... (par un individu totalement antipathique...) que vous n'êtes pas prioritaire. Et qu'il faudra attendre 4h supplémentaires. Vive le Quebec ... libre ou non ... il ne survivra pas.

My 19 months old son had sleep apnea but no doctor took me seriously until I request a transfer to Montreal Children in ambulance from an other center. Somebody finaly listen to me and decided to do the proper tests for my son. Turn out my son had a very severe case of sleep apnea. We were hospitalised and was scheduled to have his tonsils removed a couple days later. There was a complication after surgery and thanks to the doctors + the anesthesist, my son is still alive. I was very impressend with all the staff. People were very nice and competent. We were there 8 days and i have nothing bad to say. I would recommend to anyone with kids.

My son was mis diagnosed with a pneumonia. I gave him those meds for nothing l. I went to the emergency due to the fact that my son had severe diarrhea, fever, wasnt eating or drinking and vomiting. I later found out its because the doctor prescribed me pneumonia antibiotics when my son did not have pneumonia!!!. Those antibiotics made my son very sick since it killed the good bacteria. My son now is sufferig because of a doctors (mistake) . And all they told me was we cant do anything. Are you serious? Hes 1 years old . Sick hospital. I rather stay at st justine all night and making sure that they know what theyre doing then the childrens hospital that make your child sick because they prescibed meds that wasnt needed and got him very ill. The nurses are exremely rude. All i asked her was can you please check if he has a fever again?and she answered me no just give him advil even if you dont check him. I would recommend anyone going there.

Worst hospital and service!!! Nurse says that the wait time will be about 3 hrs. When I went to check on the status after 5 hrs of waiting i was told there is only 1 Dr. between 12 and 7 am and all test would take at least 24 hrs. How is it acceptable to have only 1 Dr. In the emergency at a childrens hospital??? WORST HOSPITAL EVER!!!!
