One of the WORST gynecologist I've ever encountered in my life. I've been for over 2 years under her """"care"""" and beside some fun chit chats that basically amounted to nothing and could have been done over the phone, she never took the time to actually understand my underlying issues, was only able to prescribe me pills (fun fact: one of them sent me to the ER triggering a serious heavy bleeeding) and when confronted about her shortcoming and about the fact she NEVER PHISICALLY EXAMINED ME EVER she explained that she basically has her own way to work. Would not recommend to any woman who takes her own gynecological issues seriously.

I met Dr. Mayo during one of the most frightening moments of my life—an emergency cerclage. From that very first encounter, I knew I wanted her to be my OB. Throughout my entire pregnancy, she was truly my anchor. Her humor, kindness, warm hugs, and constant positivity made an overwhelming journey feel manageable. She always took the time to listen, made me feel heard, and most importantly, made me feel safe. Even though my emergency C-section was performed by another doctor, Dr. Mayo still came to visit me afterward, which meant more to me than I can put into words. I am beyond grateful to have met her and to have been her patient. She is an exceptional physician and an even more exceptional human being.

This is honestly the worst encounter I have ever had while being pregnant; her assistant/ receptionist is very rude and unprofessional, makes a lot of mistakes and talks down to people. she was screaming into the phone and eventually hung up on me as I was equally frustrated.

She’s always making us wait at least an hour even though these are all scheduled appointments. When we do finally get called in, she walks in like she just wants to get this appointment over with - does not explain things well, does not care to really listen to any of our questions or concerns and always rushing out. I would not recommend her at all.

I am writing a 5 star review just to hope that this message will be seen by everyone but mainly to DR Carli Mayo and her receptionist 

I can not say enough about Dr Mayo.  Kind, compassionate, and listened to my concerns.  She has given me my quality of life back and I will forever be grateful!  Amazing surgeon.  

Dr. Mayo is a fantastic doctor and I would recommend her to all of my friends. She was caring and kind and listened to my concerns. I am happy that I was referred to her. She was awesome.

Dr. Karli Mayo is highly arrogant and condescending and tries to mask it by using clever words.  She has absolutely no empathy or regard for women who are going through very difficult matters.

Had a very bad experience with Dr Mayo, my wife had contractions early in the morning, we had to rush to the hospital with my 6 years old son, I didn’t even get the chance to drop him off at school because of the pain, we got admitted right away as my wife was in active labour, inside the birthing unit, my wife was screaming and ready to deliver without the epidural, I left my son outside the room because I didn’t want him to see what’s happening, the dr refused that we leave him outside the room in the hallway, and wanted him to go inside the room or I take him and leave my wife in the lounge, and inside the room, during delivery, she screams at me in a very unprofessional way to focus, I let it go the first time but she did it again, I had to tell her to speak politely. I had to apologize after but when I went back home and remembered what happened, I decided to go and read her reviews which I agree with some of them. I don’t recommend this doctor.

These negative reviews must be fake! Dr Mayo and her team are AMAZING! I’ve had 3 pregnancies/births in 3 years, under her care, and I can’t thank her enough for her guidance, bright/bubbly attitude and genuine care! Raquel is amazing, and I’m sure she defends herself if need be. Michelle the RN is also fantastic and personable!

I would not suggest going to this clinic. Dr Mayo is professional but her SECRETARY is rude and toxic. And she is always the point of contact so??? Not a good start to begin with.

I had the worst experience with Dr. Mayo. This was my first pregnancy after trying for years, and she provided no guidance or advice as it pertained to my specific situation. I was referred to her with 2 major issues that were previously monitored on a weekly basis. Once I was in her care, she refused to monitor my conditions and kept telling me that everything was fine. I had a major bleed 2 weeks after meeting her for the first time and 3 weeks before my anatomy scan. I was told all l was fine in emergency but to follow up with my doctor. I went to see her the next day and she said all was fine. When I asked for the cause of the bleed so that I would know how to proceed she admitted the ER ultrasound was not detailed enough to give an answer but then didn't order an obstetric ultrasound and said we'd wait for the anatomy ultrasound in 3 weeks! A week later I started experiencing mild discomfort and called her office to find out how I should proceed. Her secretary brushed me off and said what I was experiencing was normal, she didn't even know what trimester I was in originally. Two days later, I lost my baby. I think it is ridiculous to not monitor a patient for weeks that was previously monitored every week and it is crazy to me that she can have a patient that was bleeding severely and not care to do a detailed ultrasound right away to find the cause. I very much regret trusting her, and because she did nothing during her time as my OB, it has been difficult for specialists to pinpoint what went wrong and why I went into early labor.  You may be fine to  work with her if you have a normal easy pregnancy. But any sign of complication I would not recommend her.

So i dont know how legit the reviews here are. But here is my opinion. Dr karli mayo is nice and knowledgeable 5stars for that. But her secretary is meeeh she deserves a better team member. 

So unfortunate to see doctors like her are even existed! Expectant mommies deserve personalities who are understanding and loving not rude or disrespectful or abusive! 

I had my c-section on Feb 11.2022 with Dr Karli Mayo. I had no complications or any disease. 

She did the worse job ever that no one, no one around me had the same experience in OR and the days after the surgery. In the OR, idk what she was doing that caused me to scream out of my lungs. I was so traumatized that I couldn’t look at the pics taken on the day of delivery for weeks. She didn’t come to check on me after the surgery! I left without any “patient education” . The pain I experienced the first days after surgery was so unbearable that I couldn’t breath, sit, lay down , feed my new born baby, nothing. 

Doctor mail was excellent.  Very knowledgable, technically skilled and very kind.

If I can give Dr Mayo no stars. One star is being generous for how she made me feel. Yes she was knowledgeable but her tone was very condescending. I had to make a choice to which I needed time and gather my thoughts but she was so impatient and literally told me to make a decision as she had other patients waiting. She added to my anxiety and made me feel like a child. I couldn't answer her questions properly after that as I thought my words would trigger more irritation from her. I shut down completely. Horrible experience.

Dr Karli Mayo is a wonderful doctor! My problem was detected in June 2022 and I had major surgery July 28th 2022.  I was so happy that I could get in and have the surgery done without any delay. She is the most kind, caring and wonderful doctor!  She has a great sense of humor and I just love her!

I am very disappointed of Dr. Karli Mayo. She was very rude and also abusive towards me! Don't trust this doctor. Not only she is not professional but she is not even knowledgeable. You can get only humiliated and abused by her!

I love dr mayo.. she never made me feel bad about myself.. especially considering I am a bigger on the plus side… told me what she could handle and we went ahead with a plan.. I am forever grateful to her and her staff they are amazing.. they get a ten out of ten

Dr Karli Mayo is super friendly, professional and takes her time with her clients. I walked in with a list of questions as a nervous new mom to be and between her and the nurse they answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable.  Every visit she greets me with a huge smile and adresses any concerns. I am so greatful to have her as my ob.

I understand it’s a challenging job, but Karli could improve her bedside manner. I have never felt more uncomfortable during an appointment with a physician. As soon as I left the room, I was so overwhelmed by the event that I started to cry. Hopefully it was a one off situation, but her words, tone, and delivery appeared deliberate.
